Alyssa Byrum

About Alyssa: She came to work for Mobil 1 as a part time lube tech who was shy, timed, and very unsure of what she wanted for her future. That was until she had the opportunity to test drive a blue Subaru WRX. Alyssa fell in love with its speed and handling. In that moment, she uncovered a passion for cars. It wasn’t long after that she was given the opportunity to buy the car that gave her this direction in life. She named the car Blueberry.

Blueberry, being neglected by others, was seen by her as a reflection of her life-long struggle as someone labeled special needs. She dedicated hours of labor to create the car she knew it could be. With this, she discovered what she herself could become. Alyssa has now been working at Mobil 1 for two years and is the manager. She is grateful that Blueberry helped her find a career she’s passionate about and helped her show herself and others that you can do anything you put your mind to.
